Ben & Jerry’s are renowned for innovative ice cream products with an eco friendly twist. Their ingredients are derived from Fairtrade and sustainable sources and they strive to recycle as much as possible throughout the manufacturing and retail process. Ben & Jerry’s began in the mid 1970’s when two old school friends began making their own ice cream to sell at a local petrol station. This soon became popular within the local community and they took their chunky ice cream on the road, retailing from a VW campervan. Their products are now distributed in over 20 countries, in supermarkets, convenience stores, restaurants and cinemas and they also have an online gift store.
